The HEARTFELT Bag Course is a course that will teach you how to make a crochet heart-shaped bag yourself. The bag is simple to make, yet very striking, thanks to its original, thicker strap. After creating the Heartfelt bag, you’ll gain basic knowledge for making other types of crochet bags. This is a detailed step-by-step instruction on how to make it, with many references explaining why certain steps are taken and how you can adapt elements to your preferences. This course is designed for intermediate crocheters, but a highly engaged and motivated beginner will also manage, as the bag is almost entirely made using the simplest crochet method, single crochet stitches. The course is in PDF format, but you’ll find a detailed description and video tutorial in it. The video shows you step-by-step every stage of making the bag.

In the course, you’ll also find many basic concepts (such as making single crochet stitches or slip stitches), but also more advanced techniques, such as joining single crochet stitches in rounds or crocheting two elements together. If you’ve had any contact with crochet before, or maybe even made your first attempts at crochet bags – this course is for you. I’ll guide you step-by-step, explaining what to do with numerous clarifications. I’m also happy to provide expert support if you have problems with a particular issue (just send an email!). I use T-shirt yarn in this course, which is beginner-friendly (every stitch is visible). In this course, we mainly work with single crochet in rows.

Recommended yarn:

• Pimotki T-shirt yarn tape or skein – 2 pcs (approx. 220m needed)

Other materials and accessories:

• Crochet hook 8 mm and auxiliary metal hook 5/6 mm (optional)
• 2 pcs of snap hooks – base width 20 – 25 mm (handle)
• 2 pcs of snap hooks – base width 9 – 15 mm (tassels)
• 2 pcs of openable metal rings – 25 mm or 32 mm
• Stitch markers (or loops from other yarn),
• Bent needle, thread (optional)
• Fabric glue for cotton (optional)
• Scissors, measuring tape
